Animal Control The Clarkston Police Department operates the Clarkston Animal Shelter located at 13th and Port Way. The shelter is equipped to house Dogs only, no other animals are kept at the shelter. Dogs kept at the shelter are brought in at the discretion of Police Officers and/or the Animal Control Officer. Clarkston has one part-time animal control officer and one shelter aide employed.
